The goal | The aim of the course is to give knowledge on the consequences of division of social labor on development of professions, and the influence of professions as social groups on functioning and development of modern societies. | |||

Contents of lectures | Special features of Sociology of Professions; notions and characteristics of professions in social structure; determinants of professions; organization of professions; processes of professionalization and functioning of professions; social power and power of professions; professions in organization; language and image of professions; professional marketing; professional careers; professionalization, globalization and brain drain; professionalization of work; de-professionalization. | |||
