The goal | Defining concepts of methodics and didactics; methods of teaching German as a foreign language; acquiring theoretical knowledge of language skills: listening with understanding, speaking, writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary. Introducing students with external and internal factors that influence the process of learning a foreign language; motivation; learning theories. | |||
The outcome | Students have theoretical knowledge of the historical development of methods of teaching German as a foreign language, as well as language skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading) and a variety of typology of exercises that must be applied in order to master the these skills. | |||

Contents of lectures | Defining concepts of methodology and didactics; the influence of external and internal factors on the process of learning a foreign language; motivation; learning theories; memory and learning a foreign language; historical overview of teaching methods of German as a foreign language; linguistic skills: listening comprehension, speaking, writing and reading; vocabulary, grammar. | |||
